Downtown Long Beach is ideal for nature enthusiasts, being rated the most walkable city in the country. You’ll see many people on foot, on bikes, or on skates around the city.

Long Beach is rich in culture, art, and music. Throw in an assortment of fantastic food, and there's the Long Beach Jazz Festival. Since August 1990, top jazz artists have been coming together to perform live music in a picturesque oceanfront setting. It's a three-day-long music fest with a bit of R&B, jazz, quality food, and unique art. 
 
Every April, locals anticipate the most popular weekend event in the city. The Grand Prix of Long Beach, the number one street race in the United States, brings over 170,000 spectators together for three days of intense, scenic beachside racing. Fast cars, good food, and fearless racers create the perfect ambiance for a thrill-seeking weekend. 
 
There's also the Long Beach Marathon – An annual event with something for everyone. You can walk it, run it, bike it, or even wheelchair it. Visit Downtown Long Beach and stop past the farmers market for fresh produce and colorful flowers if you want something more relaxed. There is always something to do in this lively city.
