Local Lifestyle

Naples is one of the most sought-out neighborhoods in Long Beach. It’s commonly known as California’s Little Italy on the Bay. Absolutely beautiful and easy to fall in love with, this Italian-inspired town has superb views and relaxation at its finest. Most homes are eloquently lined right along the canals. The town is rich in history and offers residents a mixed urban-suburban feel with picturesque canals, unique homes and boats, narrow streets and walkways, and vibrant outdoor amenities. Naples is an enchanting neighborhood for those seeking a quiet, charming environment. The people are kind, the sun is nearly always out, and you never run out of things to do.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Naples is conveniently isolated, yet centrally located to many hotspots, fine dining, luxurious shopping, and exquisite nightlife. You can visit the beach, enjoy a romantic gondola ride, have some good eats, or stroll down the panoramic home-lined boardwalks.
Architecture and design aren’t the only things Italian-inspired in Naples. So is the food. You can expect to get the most amazing Neapolitan-styled wood-fired pizza from Michael’s Pizzeria. Try Michael’s on Naples Ristorante for authentic Italian cuisine in a sophisticated environment. They have an impressive wine selection with rooftop seating.
Although Naples is isolated in a quiet area with its own restaurants and shopping right on the island, Belmont Shore is just over the bridge and offers even more options. There’s also another shopping center nearby, in the opposite direction.

Things to Do

Naples is right on the water, with many different aquatic activities, including kayaking, paddle boarding, and boating. The locals head down to Bayshore Drive to rent a kayak for the day. It's the perfect romantic date night or scenic family day, along the calm lagoons and sandy beach across the bay.
A popular outdoor attraction is La Bella Fontana Park, in the center of town. Many people come here to have a quick outdoor lunch or a picnic with a friend. On the second Saturday of every December, Naples hosts a famous Holiday Boat Parade along the island’s canals and into Alamitos Bay. Boaters decorate their vessels and compete for prizes.
A short commute away from Naples is Downtown Long Beach, with many local attractions and annual events that make the community unique. The farmers' market has fresh produce and colorful flowers. In April, you can experience the number one street race in the United States, The Grand Prix of Long Beach. There is always something to do in Naples, California.
